    Pima Medical Institute

    • The Pima Medical Institute, part of an 11-campus network, operates a branch in Denver which offers a 21-month associate's degree program in respiratory therapy. According to Pima, the school teaches students "professional skills in advanced respiratory care techniques" which include caring for children and adults, cardiopulmonary disease, pharmacology, and therapeutics. Pima also promises lifetime job placement assistance to graduates and prepares them for National Board for Respiratory Care credential tests.

    Pueblo Community College

    • In Southeast Colorado, Pueblo Community College offers an associate of applied science degree in respiratory care, which is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Only 25 students are accepted into the program each year, which teaches "theory, laboratory, and clinical internships in the techniques of respiratory care" over five semesters, according to the school. Applicants must interview with a PCC representative and pass an entrance exam to enter the program.

This includes a 17-month long respiratory therapy associate's degree course.
