Schools in South Carolina With Respiratory Therapist Programs

The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that the demand for respiratory therapists in the state of South Carolina will increase by 20 percent from 2006 through 2016. To obtain a license to work in the field, prospective therapists must first complete a post-secondary training program, of which a number exist South Carolina. Carrying the accreditation of the Commission for the Accreditation of Respiratory Care, these schools prepare students to administer therapies to patients suffering from lung conditions like emphysema and asthma.
