The study abroad program at University of South Carolina (USC), otherwise known as MOSAIC (Meaningful Opportunities for Students to Achieve International Competencies) Symposium, offers an abundance of places for USC students to travel and learn around the world. Five types of international programs at USC offer study-abroad opportunities in countries such as Mexico, Scotland, Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Korea and Australia. In addition, students can apply for scholarships and financial aid to help fund their international trips.
The Office of International Affairs handles all of the programs for worldly education at Clemson University. Clemson's study abroad programs allow students to take part in academic programs in other countries, such as global engineering education in Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Sweden, or the International Student Exchange Program, which includes more than 20 countries. The Brussels Center is a partner of Clemson University in Belgium that allows students from Belgium and Clemson to enroll in exchange programs in either the U.S. or Belgium.
Columbia International University (CIU) is a four-year Christian ministry school with partnerships in more than 130 countries. While the school's studies focus on religion, education also includes other religions, such as Muslim studies at the Zwemer Center, which offer courses in Islam. The Lowrie Center for Christian School Education is the international program's headquarters at CIU and focuses on Christian missions throughout the world. CIU enrolls students from more than 30 countries and has international study abroad programs for its students to study religion and missionary work around the globe.
Coastal Carolina University promotes study abroad programs for outgoing and incoming international students through its Office of International Programs and Services. Coastal has international agreements with schools in England, France, Australia, Austria, Germany, Ecuador, Spain and Japan. In addition, for three weeks in July, Coastal Carolina University hosts a group of students from these partner universities to explore South Carolina's coastline, including Charleston.
