Texas Division II Colleges

Outside of sports, there are very few differences between division I and division II schools. Many division II colleges offer students a high-quality education taught by highly experienced professors using innovative resources. If you live in Texas or desire to attend school in Texas, there are multiple division II colleges from which to choose.
  1. Midwestern State University

    • Located in Wichita Falls, Midwestern State University is a division II school that offers a wide variety of programs. The school has a college of business that offers bachelor degree programs for accounting, economics, marketing, general business, management and finance. Midwestern State also has a college of fine arts that offers bachelor's degrees in art, music, theater and mass communications, and Midwestern's school of Health Sciences and Human Services provides bachelor's degree programs for criminal justice, dental hygiene, athletic training and exercise physiology, nursing, health and public administration, radiologic science and social work.

    Dallas Baptist University

    • Dallas Baptist University is a division II Christian school that provides a Christian education accompanied with knowledge pertaining to art, science and professional studies. The school offers numerous undergraduate and graduate degree programs for college-aged kids and adult students who are committed to the Christian faith. Bachelor's programs provided by the school include degrees in business administration, business studies, science, arts and sciences, music and music education. Some of the school's graduate programs include master's degrees in the areas of education, counseling, business, liberal arts, ministry and professional development.

    St. Mary's University

    • Founded in 1852, St. Mary's University is the oldest Catholic university in Texas. Located in San Antonio, St. Mary's campus caters to about 4,000 diverse students who represent almost all religious faiths and cultural backgrounds. With a focus on Catholic tradition combined with high educational standards, the school specializes and is nationally recognized for its elite liberal arts institution. St. Mary's has more than 70 undergraduate and graduate majors to choose from along with more than 120 degree programs.     • Located in Laredo, Texas A&M International University is a division II school connected to the Texas A&M University system. The school emphasizes a strong academic foundation in the arts and sciences and prepares the students to effectively fulfill leadership roles and to productively contribute to a culturally diverse national and global society. In addition to a superb athletic department, the school offers various bachelor's and master's degree programs through its many departments, including its College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Sciences and College of Education.
