Porterville College offers an Accounting Certificate Paraprofessional program. The program requires completing 24 to 26 credit hours in such courses as computerized accounting, financial accounting, income tax for individuals and business, introduction to information systems and business law. Tuition includes an enrollment fee of $26 per credit hour for state residents and $210 per credit hour for out-of-state students.
The College of the Sequoias offers an accounting certificate that requires completing 31 core units. Coursework includes principles of accounting, introduction to business, individual income tax, business mathematics and introduction to computer systems. Tuition for residents is $26 per credit unit and $235 per credit for out-of-state students.
Reedley College offers an associate degree in accounting and a certificate in accounting. Students enrolled in the associate program must complete 39 credit hours of the required business department and major courses, including principles of accounting, economics, marketing and business communication. Students can earn the accounting certificate by taking 14 to 21 of the same business and major courses. Tuition for residents is $26 per unit and $248 per unit for out-of-state students.
Fresno City College offers an associate degree in accounting along with certificates in computerized accounting, full charge bookkeeping and business accounting and finance. With the exception of the associate degree in accounting, all programs are designed to be less than one year in length. All programs are $26 per credit hour for state residents and $248 for out-of-state students, except for the Full Charge Bookkeeper program which has a total program cost of $550.
