The UCLA Anderson School of Management is located in Los Angeles and offers several degree options in accounting. The school offers accounting courses in three areas, including financial accounting, taxation, and management accounting. Students who are admitted into the master's of business administration program may take accounting during the later portion of the program. Undergraduate students who are majoring in business can choose to earn a minor in accounting. Students who are completing the doctoral program may choose to study and research accounting as part of their Ph.D. curriculum.

Located near downtown Los Angeles, the USC Marshall School of Business offers many courses in accounting. The Leventhal School of Accounting provides an opportunity for students to study accounting both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses include Introduction to Accounting Systems, Introduction to Tax Issues, Understanding Income Tax and Tax Issues for Business. The Leventhal School also offers a master's degree in business taxation.

Located in Malibu, Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management offers a master's degree in applied finance, a degree program which offers an education in accounting. The program lasts 12 months and is only available to full-time students. Course titles include Managerial Accounting, Fixed Income Analysis and Corporate Finance. The school runs several branch campuses throughout the state, including in Irvine, Los Angeles, Encino and Westlake Village.
