Marine Animal Training Colleges

Employment in the field of marine and animal biology is expected to continue to rise 21 percent through the year 2018, much higher than other professions, according to the United States Department of Labor. Getting a job in the marine animal field requires specialized training through a degree program in marine biology or marine sciences, offered at a variety of colleges across the country. Students interested in the field of marine animal science may study ecology, biology, ecosystems and animal development while earning a bachelor's or master's degree.
  1. Coastal Carolina University

    • Coastal Carolina University offers a bachelor's degree program in marine science, with coursework involving marine biology, hydrographic techniques, biology of sea turtles, fisheries science, biology of marine mammals, marine ecology, ecosystems analysis and marine plankton. Students have the opportunity to study abroad, such as the Ecology of Coral Reefs program in Jamaica; internships are also available. Financial aid is available through loans, grants, scholarships, work study programs and veterans' benefits.
