The NBNA, National Black Nurses Association, provides scholarships to African American nursing students who are a member of the Georgia NBNA with at least one year of school remaining. To qualify for one of the 14 available scholarships, you must be currently enrolled in a BSN, ADN, diploma or LPN/LVN nursing program and be in good academic standing. There is no specified GPA (grade point average) requirement.
The amount of the scholarship ranges from $500 to $2000 each year.
For consideration, please submit the following:
An Official transcript(s) post marked by April 15th from an accredited School of Nursing.
A two page written Essay.
Two letters of recommendation (one must be from your school of nursing and one from your local chapter, or an area nurse if there isn't a local chapter).
Any additional items that will support your eligibility and desirability for the scholarship such as participation in internships, student nurse activities, and involvement in the African American Community.
The deadline is April 15th.

National American Arab Nurses Association (NAANA) offers annual scholarships to minorities living in Georgia as well as European or non-minority students engaged in studying nursing at the Associate Degree, Bachelor degree, Master's degree or RN-BSN levels.
You are required to have a grade point average of at least 3.5, demonstrated leadership abilities through student organizations, career goals related to nursing, be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, and be a member of NAANA. The student membership fee is $10.
Annual award amounts are $500 to $1000, depending on the funds available.
Submit the following material:
Two letters of recommendation printed on the institution's stationery from a nursing faculty member.
A one-page essay explaining your career goals, leadership skills, and why you deserve the scholarship.
A completed Scholarship Information Sheet.
The deadline is June 1st.

The National Association Of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) award scholarships to Hispanic students in Georgia and on a national level. Applicants must desire to pursue the nursing profession and demonstrate leadership To apply, you must become a member of NAHN. Membership fees are $30 to $40 for students. NAHN requires enrollment in an associate, diploma, baccalaureate, graduate or vocational nursing programs and for the member to be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 (preferred).
The award amount is $1000.
