The Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program (CMGSP) was established in 1986 by the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). The scholarship helps gifted aspiring nurses with their educational and professional development. The scholarship is named in honor of the founder of the AHNA, Charlotte McGuire. The awards go to nurses who choose to follow a holistic path, taking a patient's mental, as well as physical and psychological, well-being into account when considering the proper course of treatment. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA, must be members of the association for at least six months and have experience in the holistic field.
