Filipino Nursing Scholarships

Filipino nursing students may qualify for several different scholarships. Many states have a Nurses Association that offers scholarships to qualified applicants. Check with the Nurses Association in your state to see if they offer scholarships, grants or other assistance to Filipino students.
  1. PNA-Tampa Nursing Scholarship

    • The Philippine Nurses Association of America is dedicated to promoting the professional excellence of Filipino students. The organization has chapters in several states. The Nurses $Association in Tampa helps provide scholarships to Filipino nursing students. According to PNA-Tampa, nursing students must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program in the Philippines or the United States. The application deadline is in February, and students who qualify receive 500 toward their tuition. Scholarships are based on financial need and grades. Students must submit an essay highlighting their career goals and interests.

    Global Schorship Alliance

    • The Global Scholarship Alliance seeks to promote Filipino nurses who live in the Philippines and the United States. According to GSA, qualifying nurses receive the opportunity to study nursing within the United States. For more than 10 years, GSA has been offering financial assistance to Filipino nurses. Students that receive admission into Global Scholarship Alliance receive full tuition to an accredited nursing school in the United States, paid airfare, two months of paid housing and other benefits.

    Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego

    • If you are a Filipino student attending nursing school in San Diego, consider applying for an annual scholarship provided by the Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego (PSNAD). Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply. Students must be enrolled in an accredited nursing school and have a 3.0 GPA. Additionally, students must be a member of PSNAD and submit an application fee.
