The Elks sponsor a nursing scholarship for Tennessee students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a nursing program in Tennessee. Selected students receive $1,500 annually for up to four years, and must maintain a 3.0 grade point average. The top four scholarship recipients are also eligible to receive a special $2,000 first-year award. Interested students should contact their local Elks Lodge for application materials.

This scholarship is available to nursing students at Belmont University who are enrolled in the accelerated undergraduate nursing program. The program provides a one-time scholarships of $10,000 to students from underrepresented groups, such as men and minorities, as well as students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit, community service, financial need and a personal essay. Students must submit their completed application along with a copy of their FAFSA.

West Tennessee Healthcare offers a nursing scholarship to undergraduates in their sophomore year at a participating Tennessee college or university. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need and a commitment and aptitude for a career in nursing. The program awards up to $10,000 and in exchange, recipients commit to work as a registered nurse for West Tennessee Healthcare for a specific period after graduation. The length of the service commitment is determined by the individual award received. Applicants must submit an application along with a letter of acceptance from their nursing program, two letters of reference, a transcript and a recent picture to West Tennessee Healthcare.

The King Scholarship Fund provides education funding to undergraduates who are pursuing a career in nursing. Applicants must be high school graduates of Claiborne or Campbell counties, enrolled full-time in an accredited nursing program. The $1,000 awards are granted on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricular participation, work and volunteer history, financial need and extenuating circumstances that may pertain to the applicant's ability to pursue a college degree. Applicants must submit seven copies of their application packet to the East Tennessee Foundation, including the application form, a resume, a recent transcript, two letters of reference and a copy of their Student Aid Report from the Federal Financial Aid Processing Center.
