The council's June Miller Nursing Education Scholarship is for students entering nursing studies. The Inger Lawrence -- M.R. Bauer Foundation Nursing Studies Scholarship is for those who already have credits toward a nursing degree. New York's Jewish Foundation for Education awards scholarships to New York nursing students who have immigrated to America and demonstrate financial need.

Review scholarship available through Jewish hospitals. Some hospitals offer scholarships to nursing students to attract them to work at their hospital after graduation. Jewish Hospital and St. Mary's HealthCare (JHSMH) in St. Louis makes a variety of scholarships available for both undergraduate and graduate nursing students. To apply, contact the hospital's Workforce Development Office at 502-560-8555. Scholarship recipients may participate in the summer extern program to gain experience in the field of nursing. They also commit to work with the hospital for one year for every $6,000 of scholarship money received. Other Jewish hospitals offering scholarships to nursing students include Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School Of Nursing (barnesjewishcollege.edu/?id=5346&sid=1), Mt.
