Postgraduate Nursing Scholarships

While graduate nursing school is not as expensive as medical school, tuition is still not particularly cheap. With additional costs such as textbooks, course fees and living expenses, most students are forced to take out some form of financial aid to assist them in attaining their graduate nursing degrees. Luckily, with a number of full- and partial-tuition scholarships and grants specifically targeted towards graduate nursing students, there are ways for you to continue your advanced nursing education without breaking the bank.
  1. American Association of Critical Care Nurses Grants and Scholarships

    • Scholarships support graduate nursing students.

The American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) grants and scholarships were established to help support graduate nursing students with a specific specialization in critical care. The Educational Advancement Scholarship, offered to attract more nurses into this particular health care sector, allows graduate nurses to embrace added health care skills that reach beyond traditional nursing education and training.

The prestigious annual scholarship awards $1500 to students. Eligible students must be members of the AACN and have already enrolled in a nursing course at an accredited university. Although the scholarship is flexible to include nurses who wish to pursue non-nursing or non-health care related fields of study, such scholarship applicants must show demonstrated commitment to the nursing field as a profession and must show evidence that such courses can be applied to their long-term goals in the health care profession.
