The North Carolina Nurse Scholars Program provides scholarship awards to North Carolina nursing students who commit to working in the state after graduation. The program awards $3,000 scholarships to students who are pursuing an associate's degree or diploma in nursing and $5,000 to those students who are completing a bachelor's degree. Awards are merit-based, and recipients must commit to one year of nursing service in North Carolina for every year the award is received.
