The National Garden Clubs are one source of scholarship money for students studying wildlife science or wildlife biology. More than 30 National Garden Clubs college scholarships are awarded each year in the amount of $3,500. To be eligible, a wildlife biology major must be planning to pursue a career that deals with environmental issues. The annual deadline for application is March 1. The National Rifle Association provides scholarship money to wildlife biology students through the NRA Women's Wildlife Management/Conservation Scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be female, must be enrolled full time as a college junior or senior and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. These $1,000 scholarships are renewable. In addition to submitting a completed application, applicants must also compose an essay of 250 to 300 words. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation makes scholarship money available to wildlife biology students who intend to pursue a career related to wildlife management. These scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,000. To be eligible, a student must be an undergraduate, must be at least junior, must have at least one semester remaining in their program and must be attending school in the United States or Canada.
