The School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham offers a Masters in Accounting and dozens of scholarships to help cover the cost of the degree. While students who plan to pursue careers in forensic accounting are eligible for all scholarships open to those enrolled in the Masters of Accounting program, there is a specific UAB scholarship as well. The L. Paul Kassouf scholarship is open only to those juniors and seniors who have an interest in forensic accounting and a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. UAB looks at merit first, and only considers need if there are equally deserving applicants.

The AICPA was established in 1887 and is the largest professional CPA organization in the United States. The AICPA's Forensic Valuation Services Center provides CPAs with online information and tools about the field of forensic accounting. It also administers the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) exam which gives accountants further credibility in the field. Students who are interested in forensic accounting can apply for any of the ten AICPA scholarship programs for which they are qualified. Some scholarships are limited by gender, minority status or degree sought, and many offer funding to several recipients rather than just one.
