Florida Atlantic University offers a master's in forensic accounting on-campus, online or a combination of the two. The 90-minute on-campus courses are held on Saturday mornings in Fort Lauderdale to accommodate working professionals. Up to 27 hours in accounting can be earned toward a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate.

The program involves 128 credit hours with 24 credits in general education courses, 26 credits of major specific general education courses, 28 core business credits, 40 credits in the major, and 10 elective credits.
Business core courses include Financial Accounting, Business Law and Marketing. Courses in the major include Fraud Examination, Accounting Information Systems and Auditing.

Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offers a Bachelor in Science in forensic accounting. The structure of the degree earns all successful graduates an additional minor in accounting. The program qualifies students for the Certified Forensic Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiners professional exams.
Core courses for the degree include Principles of Accounting, Auditing and The Law and Fraud. Supporting courses include Principles of Finance, Microsoft Excel and Information Security.
