In the program, based at the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Center, students train under four board-certified forensic pathologists. The program generally takes one year to complete. Forensic pathology fellows conduct about 250 autopsies and play a part in about 75 crime scene investigations. Fellows also complete rotations at local agencies to gain hands-on experience in a variety of forensic areas such as toxicology.
