AICPA, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, awards scholarships to minorities (Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American or Asian American) to encourage them to pursue a career in accounting. You must be a full-time undergraduate student or graduate student. You must have completed at least 30 semester hours of college courses with at least 6 hours in accounting and be willing to become a CPA. Academic excellence or a grade point average of 3.3 or higher is needed.
The scholarship amount ranges from $1,500 to $3,000 each for the academic year.
Submit the following material:
Completed application form.
Signed copy of the terms of agreement.
An official copy of your transcript, no copies, as a declared Accounting major.
A signed letter of recommendation from a CPA or college professor on department stationery.
A signed 500-word personal statement on how becoming a CPA will contribute to your career goal. Include a reference to the 150-hour requirement and CPA exam time line.
Include any academic honors, leadership awards or community service proof with name and student ID number.
CV with work experience relating to the field of accounting.
Copy of your Green card if you're not a U.S. citizen.

NABA requires students to become a member of its organization to qualify for the scholarship. The membership fee is $20 for undergraduate or graduate students and is due by December 31. You must already be enrolled full-time at a 4-year college or university in an accounting, finance or business program. Full-time graduate students who are enrolled into a master's business program are also eligible. High school students are not eligible to apply.
The scholarship amount ranges from $1,000 to $10,000.
Here's what you need to submit:
A completed National Scholarship Application.
An official current academic transcript (no copies).
A copy of your Student/Permanent Resident Visa if you're not a United States citizen.
A current copy of your resume.
Two letters of recommendation from accounting or business faculty at your university.
A personal biography of 500 words.
If you can demonstrate financial hardship as a reason to receive the scholarship, an additional essay of 500 words is needed.

The KPMG Foundation provides the Minority Accounting Doctoral Scholarships to help increase the number of African-American, Hispanic-American and Native American doctoral students. To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and enrolled, on campus, in a full-time accounting business doctoral program.
The amount of the award is $10,000 annually with annual renewal eligibility up to $50,000.
Please submit the following by May 1 for consideration:

A brief explanation for pursuing your doctorate in accounting.
Copy of a current resume.
Copies of your undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
