The Lagrant Foundation provides scholarships for students of minority ethnicity who are pursuing graduate degrees in business. These scholarships are awarded in amounts of up to $5,000. In order to be eligible, students must be pursuing a business degree with a concentration in public relations, advertising, or marketing, and must be a member of one of these ethnic groups: Hispanic or Latino, African American, Native American or Native Alaskan, or Pacific Islander. Applicants must also be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States in order to be eligible for Lagrant Foundation scholarships. The minimum GPA for prospective graduate applicants is 3.2. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants offers financial support to Ph.D. candidates pursuing degrees in accounting through the Accounting Doctoral Scholars Program. This program offers an annual stipend of $30,000 for up to four years of study. In order to be eligible, a student must have a minimum of three years experience in public accounting, and must be committed to teaching accounting at the university level upon graduating from a Ph.D. program. The Government Finance Officer's Association offers scholarship funds to graduate students pursing a Ph.D. in business through the Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship.
