The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia provides opportunities for undergraduate students to study accounting and finance, among other topics like business technology, international markets and marketing. Undergraduate students must be admitted to the business program during their junior year in school. At that time, students begin a core curriculum designed by the school. Acceptance for applicants is very competitive; the application is open to students currently enrolled at the University of Virginia who have successfully passed over 54 credits, maintained a satisfactory GPA and completed courses in business and related fields.

The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business offers prospective undergraduate students the opportunity to take business, finance, and accounting courses during the first year of college. Wharton takes great pride in allowing undergraduates the possibility of enrolling in business classes for 50 percent of their total credits earned. Acceptance to the program is extremely competitive. Each year over 5000 students apply while only about 500 are accepted. Students can take courses in finance, lending, international business, accounting and marketing, among many other topics.

The MIT Sloan School of Management offers business education and training in management and many other concentrations. MIT founded the undergraduate program in 1914. Prospective students may choose from three separate specialized degree programs, including the Bachelor of Science in Management Science, a Minor in Management, or a Minor in Management Science. Students who wish to specifically study finance and accounting may do so by completing required courses like Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Corporate Financial Accounting, among others.
