Chattanooga's public two-year institution is Chattanooga State Community College. Chattanooga State offers an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting as well as an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration. Chattanooga State also offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting Technology. These associate's degrees can translate directly into the workforce or transfer to a cooperative four-year university.
Two four-year institutions offer business and accounting degrees. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Emphasis. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has a robust business school with several other business emphases. Tennessee Temple University also offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, with other business emphases as well. Tennessee Temple offers an education with a focus on blending the students' academic and spiritual lives.
The University of Phoenix has a campus in Chattanooga, offering an associate's and a bachelor's degree in accounting with a combined campus/online program. In addition, Belhaven University offers continuing education to complete degrees including an MBA. All four-year and two-year educational institutions offer some online classes, but the University of Phoenix and Belhaven University offer programs more convenient for working adults.
Chattanooga also features graduate opportunities in business, including a Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
