The GEO is available for one year and, according to SIUE, is "automatically awarded based on criteria and as funds are available." First-time, full-time, out-of-state freshmen who have an ACT score of at least 23 and an SAT score of 1070 or higher will be considered. The award amount is 1.2 times the current Illinois in-state tuition rate. Students must complete a FAFSA and their financial aid file and must live on campus for their entire first year.
The criteria and award amount for the PREMIER award are the same as they are for the GEO award. Instead of simply being a first-time, full-time out-of-state freshman, however, the candidates must be from one of the following counties in Missouri: St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, St. Francois County, Franklin County, Ste. Genevieve County, Jefferson County, Warren County, Lincoln County or Washington County. As with the GEO, to be considered for the PREMIER students must complete a FAFSA and their financial aid file as well as live on campus their entire first year.
