The Studera Scholarship Foundation Worldwide offers scholarship grants for all levels of higher education---undergraduate, masters or doctoral degree. Scholarships are given in different fields such as arts and humanities, education, agriculture, law, natural sciences and social sciences. There is no age limit to be eligible for the scholarship.
Scholars are chosen in terms of leadership skills, academic performance and financial factors. You have to submit an application form with your credentials and an essay that shows how you and Africa will benefit from your study. Recipients must be willing to work for African Development for at least three years upon completion of their education.
Grantees will have full financial support in tuition and registration fees, two-way board and lodging to and from the host university, medical insurance and monthly living stipend. You may choose to study in any European university that accepts you.
The Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme is a research grant given to young African scholars who are having difficulty funding their research in their own academic institutions. Once accepted, you will be given one to three months to complete the research in a selected Coimbra Group university such as the University of Aarhus in Denmark, University of Barcelona in Spain, University of Geneva in Switzerland, University of Siena in Italy and University of Thessaloniki in Greece.
Young African academics aged 45 years and younger are encouraged to apply for the grant. To be eligible, you have to be a staff member of a university or any higher education institution, preferably with a graduate degree.
The Coimbra Group is an association of 38 European universities formed in 1987. It aims to increase the cooperation among member universities and strengthen their academic and cultural ties. The group has developed general interest in providing academic support to developing countries in Africa and Latin America.
The European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) grants scholarships to African nationals who wish to apply for the executive MBA or full-time MBA (Master of Business Administration) program in ESMT.
Candidates must be permanent residents of any African country and have a strong inclination toward business development in Africa upon the completion of a program. Recipients also must participate in the ESMT mentoring program during and following their course of study to promote the school in their home country.
