REALMS is a public charter middle school that serves students in grades 6 to 8. Part of the Bend LaPine School District, REALMS was the first Oregon charter school to open east of the Cascades. Having only 90 students means at REALMS "students know their peers and teachers well, and are able to establish positive relationships through frequent contact and cooperation," according to the school website. The REALMS mission is to teach students to "become stewards of the human and natural world around us" by providing educational activities and explorations in and out of the classroom.
