How to Cite a PPT in APA

APA Style is a citation method created by the American Psychological Association (APA). Typically used for citing materials within the fields of social and behavioral sciences, the APA's citation style has been adapted to other disciplines, as well. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association details all of the APA's citation rules, including how to cite a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

      Write the following for the first part of the citation: "Last name, first initial. (Year)." For example: "Doe, J. (2011)."

      Write the following for the second part of the citation: "PowerPoint title [PowerPoint slides]." For example: "Lecture 1: How to Cite a PPT in APA [PowerPoint slides]." The title of the PowerPoint presentation should be italicized, while "[PowerPoint slides]" should be in regular type.
