Arabic Language Schools in Egypt

With its grand pyramids and the river Nile, Egypt has long been known as the birthplace of the first great civilization.   1. International Language Institute (ILI)

    • The International Language Institute offers a free interactive online Arabic language course for beginners. The institute is affiliated with the "international house world organization" (IHWO), a London-based organization that monitors the standards of language schools worldwide. Students can take beginner, intermediate and advanced courses in Arabic. There are 10 levels of Egyptian colloquial Arabic (ECA) and modern standard Arabic (MSA) courses that students can choose from. Students can either take classroom-based or one-on-one courses. Both native and non-native Arabic speakers can take part in ILI's teacher training program. Courses are offered on a 10-week part-time or 4-week full-time basis. The school provides organized tours of Cairo for registered students.

    Ali Diwan Arabic Language Center

    • Founded in 1997, the faculty at Ali Diwan are highly qualified instructors who received their training at world-renowned colleges and universities in Arabic linguistics and literature, such as Cairo University and the oldest Islamic University in the world, Islam Aly Waleed El Sayed. The immersion program at the center prepares students to listen, speak, write and read in Arabic through individualized training programs. Upon successful completion of the programs, students will receive a certificate that indicates their level of proficiency in Arabic. The language center hosts programs to students from different campuses around the world like Cambridge University, the French Cultural Center, University of Melbourne and New York University. Students can register for regular 50-hour per month or intensive 100-hour per month courses.

    Cairo Institute for Arabic Language Sciences (CIALS)

    • CIALS offers intensive classical Arabic beginner courses that are focused on providing students with a solid foundation in reading and writing Arabic scripts. Students can enroll in a one-month summer intensive program, which begins in July and consists of 5 hours of daily classes, 5 days a week. The institute also makes travel arrangements and housing accommodations for students enrolled in the summer program. The live Arabic, and Quranic studies are offered through the institute's online language program.
