GED Programs in Delaware

In the state of Delaware, anyone who is over 16 years old and has officially withdrawn from regular schooling is eligible to take a test to earn a General Education Development (GED) credential. This educational opportunity provides adults who were not able to earn a diploma with educational and career-based opportunities that they would not have without the credential. For those who want to freshen up on their knowledge for the GED qualification exam, Delaware offers a number of classes and programs.
  1. James H. Groves Adult High School

    • The James H. Groves Adult High School provides a number of educational opportunities for adults who did not finish high school. The school itself is located in Georgetown, but also features smaller campuses with limited class options in Selbyville, Bridgeville and Ellendale, and a number of online courses are available to work toward a certificate or degree.

Most of the students enrolled in James H. Groves Adult High School are working toward diplomas, and the requirements for adult graduation are the same as those for traditional high school students. If you cannot commit to a diploma program or are interested in earning your GED instead, the school offers weekday evening and Saturday morning classes to prepare for GED certification testing. These classes review the concepts you need to pass the exam, and they provide sample tests and questions to prepare you for the actual exam.
