This CNA program, in Wilmington, Delaware, consists of seven weeks of clinical and classroom instruction. About two-thirds of the instruction takes place in the classroom or in a lab, and the rest offers students hand-on experience in a clinical setting assisting patients. Since the bulk of CNA work is done in a long-term care setting, students perform their clinicals in this setting as well. The curriculum in this course varies, from safety, legal issues and job ethics to anatomy and physiology.
