The CNA program at Tri-State lasts four to nine weeks. Day classes are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Evening classes are 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. A registered nurse leads classes, with one-on-one help available if you need it. To apply you must be at least 18 years old and pass their Adult Basic Learning exam. They recommend that you apply at least 30 days before classes start.

According to the Camtech website, they provide more than 25 percent of the CNA workforce within the state of Delaware. Camtech's CNA Training Program will prepare you for the Delaware certification exam. It consists of 75 hours of classroom time and 75 hours of clinical education. Daytime classes are four weeks long, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. The clinical classes for daytime students are 7 a.m. to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday for the last two weeks. Evening classes are also four weeks long, from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Clinical studies for evening students are Monday through Friday from 3 to 11:30 p.m. over the last two weeks. To apply you must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. However, if you don't have either, you can inquire about their Test Out option.

The Delaware Skills Center's seven-week preparatory CNA course consists of 165 hours of classroom instruction and 98 hours of clinical training in an actual healthcare facility. Classes meet Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On the days when you have clinical training, classes are from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Applicants to the school must be Delaware residents, 18 years or older. You must also have a high school diploma or GED certificate, a drivers license and be able to pass a math and reading exam.
