Las Vegas Real Estate Schools

The United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the career field of realtors is expected to grow by 14 percent through the year 2018. To achieve a position as a realtor requires specialized training, starting with an introduction to the law and principles of the realtor industry. Realtors are required to continue their education throughout their careers by taking maintenance courses. Schools teaching realtor training are available throughout the country; residents of Las Vegas will find a number of schools scattered throughout the city alongside the casinos, restaurants and flashing neon signs.

    • The Key Realty School offers training to satisfy all programs required by the Nevada Real Estate Division, including classes such as Real Estate Pre-Licensing, Real Estate Nevada Law, Nevada Property Management, Mortgage Agent and Loan Officer, Title and Escrow, Nevada Time Share and Nevada Structural Inspection. The school provides in-classroom learning plus online access to practice tests and coursework. Students fulfill the state of Nevada's requirement of 90 hours of education for licensing; the school also provides continuing education (30 hours per year are required to renew a license the first time and then 24 hours for every subsequent renewal). Students may appreciate knowing that all Key Realty programs have a guaranteed pass policy; students stay in the program until they pass their licensing exams.

    The Real Estate School of Nevada

    • The Real Estate School of Nevada offers courses for real estate salesperson pre-licensing, post-licensing courses for new licensees, plus career counseling and job placement. The school also offers a two-day crash course to prepare students taking the Nevada real estate exam for the first time. For students who prefer to learn at home, the Real Estate School offers a correspondence course via DVDs. Four tiers of programs are available; packages may include text books, live classroom instruction, on-site tutoring, a proprietary guide to passing the realtor's exam and the DVD/crash course (students may choose from a bare-bones package with just text books and a DVD or the entire package).

    ABC Real Estate School

    • Las Vegas residents interested in becoming realtors or enhancing their licensed skills may be interested in the programs available at the ABC Real Estate School. The school covers the realtor process from people just learning about the profession (pre-licensing education) to supporting those who are already licensed with post-licensing and continuing education courses. New realtors will take 45 hours of classroom studies in principles and practices and 45 hours of study of real estate law, with 18 hours devoted to Nevada-specific laws.
