Real Estate Schools in Arizona

In order to hold a real estate salesperson's license in Arizona, you are required to attend at least 90 hours (including 18 specified topics) of a pre-licensing program at an approved Arizona real estate school, pass the particular school's examination, and then pass the full state and national examinations. Afterwards, 24 hours of continuing education must be completed every two years. There are several approved real estate schools that offer the required courses.

  1. Arizona School of Real Estate & Business

    • The Arizona School of Real Estate & Business offers prelicensing courses in Scottsdale or Gilbert within a variety of different time frames to suit your needs and preferences. Along with this course, you also have the option of taking the exam preparation class which reviews all of the material needed to pass both the school's exam and the state exams. There is no fee for the exam preparation class if you have taken the prelicensing course which costs $399 (2010). Other optional programs include an interactive tutoring session, a basic real estate math course, and a math methods and applications class. After you have obtained your license, you can also take any of the school's career counseling and continuing education courses. The real estate broker's licensing course ($525 in 2010) is also 90 hours.

    Arizona Academy of Real Estate

    • The Arizona Academy of Real Estate provides licensing programs, renewal classes, and specialty courses for Realtors and would-be Realtors. The licensing course ($389 in 2010) can be completed in as little as three weeks or as long as six months, depending on your time availability. This school also provides a flexible schedule 90-hour broker licensing program for $489, renewal classes and several specialty courses. Certain classes can also be taken online.

    Westford College

    • Westford College operates two real estate schools---in Phoenix and Arrowhead. You can pick a variety of scheduling options to start any course that interests you. The prelicensing tuition ($389 in 2010) includes all the necessary materials as well as an online study guide to prepare you for your exams. The real estate broker licensing course, which can be completed after two to eight weeks, costs $469 and includes all materials, a 90-day online study exam preparation program, a special review, and your school exam fee. The 24-hour real estate renewal course is $99.
