Massachusetts Cosmetology Schools

The state of Massachusetts requires aspiring cosmetologists to attend a 1,000-hour state-approved cosmetology program and pass the Massachusetts State Board Exam in order to receive a professional license.     • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration of Cosmetologists, DiGrigoli School of Cosmetology's program combines theory and practical, hands-on instruction. Students start by practicing cosmetology techniques on mannequin heads.     Lowell Academy Hairstyling Institute

    • Founded in 1933, Lowell Academy Hairstyling Institute's cosmetology course teaches students about hairstyling, hair cutting, permanent waving, skin care, makeup, manicuring, salon management and hair-coloring techniques. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice in the student clinic. Upon completion of the program, students receive a diploma from Lowell Academy.
