How to Convert an Annotated to APA

An annotated bibliography is a paper where you provide a citation from a source and an in-depth summary of that source directly below the citation. There is no separate reference or works cited page in an annotated bibliography. You can complete annotated bibliographies in either Modern Language Association (MLA) or American Psychological Association (APA) format. APA format is usually used for papers written in the social sciences field. You can easily convert an annotated bibliography from MLA format to APA format.

Change each of the individual citations from MLA format to APA format by following an APA style guide. An MLA citation and an APA citation contain most of the same information; however, they are formatted slightly differently. It is important to follow an APA citation guide to ensure that you have cited your source correctly.
