How to Convert KB to Gigabyte

Kilobytes, abbreviated kB, and gigabytes, abbreviated GB, measure the storage capacity of computer hard drives and USB drives. If you have the storage capacity of one device in kB and the other in GB, you would need to convert from kB to GB to compare the size of the two devices. Do not confuse kilobytes with kibibytes or gigabytes with gibibytes. A kibibyte equals 1,024 bytes rather than 1,000 bytes and is abbreviated KiB. A gibibyte equals 1,024 mebibytes and is abbrevaited GiB.
