How to Convert Torque

Torque measures the quantity of force acting on an object that causes the object to rotate. There are many different units used to measure torque in both the metric and non-metric systems, including the Newton meter, long ton-force foot and dyne centimeter. Due to the multiplicity of units and formulas involved in torque calculations, the best bet for torque conversion is an online calculator.
