North American Medical Schools

Medical schools in North America have competitive entrance requirements with low ratio of places to applicants. In North America, medical degrees must be undertaken after you complete a bachelor's degree. All also require MCATs, a graduate exam similar to the GMAT, and prerequisite science courses. The combination of the MCAT score, academic grades and interview process allows an individual to gain acceptance into a program. The Association of American Medical Colleges, based in Washington, D.C., accredits medical schools in North America and administrates the MCAT.
