The Bodhi Tree Center for Healing Arts offers a 600-hour program in massage. Class scheduling is flexible to fit both full-time and part-time students. The program includes various electives in different styles of massage, including medical massage, hot stone massage and sports massage. Students have a very high rate of passing the National Certification Exam in their first attempt. Advanced and continuing education classes are available for massage therapists to further their education. The school is accredited by the state massage boards in Nevada, California and Arizona, as well as the NCBTMB.
European Massage Therapy School offers full- and part-time classes with day, evening and weekend hours. The massage program is a 610-hour course preparing students to be professional massage therapists. Examples of studies include deep tissue massage, Swedish massage and Reflexology. The classes are limited to 16 students. The school is accredited by the Nevada Commission of Post-secondary Education and is in good standing with the ABMP and AMTA. Federal financial aid is available to qualifying students.
Milan Institute offers a massage therapy program at its Reno-Sparks, Nevada, campus. The institute also has campuses in California, Idaho and Texas, with programs in cosmetology, business and health. The massage therapy curriculum offers studies in Western, Eastern and ancient practices. Students learn how to use their massage skills with hands-on practice to prepare them to work in areas such as massage clinics, hospitals, sports or their own business. Federal financial aid is available for students who qualify, including veterans.
The program in massage therapy at the Nevada Career Institute provides students with the education needed to enter a career as a message therapist. Techniques in basic Swedish massage, aromatherapy and hydrotherapy are included. The program also introduces students to sports massage and Shiatsu. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the National Examination for State Licensing. The career services department helps students get their career started after obtaining their license. Students qualifying may receive financial aid.
