Small classes and hands-on training are the hallmarks of the Arizona Culinary Institute. This culinary college offers a program consisting of six months of classes followed by a three-month paid internship. The school also boasts a student-run restaurant, du Jour, which is open to the public. Here, culinary arts students gain valuable experience and learn all aspects of operating in a professional restaurant environment. While the Arizona Culinary Institute offers eight program start dates each year, it does not offer night classes, leaving students available to work evening culinary positions if they choose. The school is also making an effort to be green by donating its used vegetable oil to be modified for biodiesel.
