Philippine School of Culinary Arts is located in Cebu City in the Philippines. Small classes give students personal attention with hands-on training. Two programs are offered: baking and pastry arts and culinary arts. The baking and pastry arts program takes about ten months to complete and will earn a student a certificate in baking and pastry arts. Three levels in this program teach introduction to pastry and baking, cake assembly and decorating, desserts, chocolate and presentation. The culinary arts program will take approximately two years to complete and will earn students a diploma for Culinary Arts and Patisserie. Students will learn both in the classroom and in the kitchen about subjects such as food safety, techniques, presentation, preparation, international cuisine and entrepreneurship.
The International Culinary Schools have culinary arts programs across the United States and in Canada. Students in this program will learn international cuisine, pastry and baking, sanitation, the business of cost control, nutrition and kitchen management. An associate of science degree in culinary arts is available for students with classes including Latin cuisine, planning & controlling costs, Asian cuisine and nutrition science. A baking & pastry program is available as well that can earn students an associate of science degree in baking & pastry. Courses include chocolate, confections and centerpieces, introduction to baking science and theory and American regional cuisine.
At Baltimore International College School of Culinary Arts, students can work toward a bachelor's degree in culinary management or an associate's degree in professional cooking, cooking and baking or baking and pastry. Day and evening certificate programs are available. A bachelor's degree will take a full-time student four years to complete, an associate's degree will take two years and certificates take approximately one year to complete. Classes include nutrition, fundamentals of baking, culinary skills lab and food safety.
