The New England Center for Cosmetology Education and Esthetics in Northampton offers a 150-hour Nail Technology Program that prepares students for state licensure exams and offers additional education for specialized nail treatments such as French manicures and nail art. The program covers basic manicure skills, pedicures, safety and sanitation, hot oil and paraffin treatments, as well as fiberglass wraps and tip applications. Students are also taught business skills required to open a practice or salon.

Mansfield Beauty Schools offers a 100-hour manicure program at its branches in Springfield and Quincy. The program meets state licensure criteria, and offers day and evening classes that start each month. Students learn basic procedures for manicures and pedicures, hygiene and safety, nail health, a variety of applications and nail art techniques. The school offers students a placement service upon certification.

Lowell Academy Hair Styling, located near Middlesex Community College in Lowell, has a 110-hour manicure training program required to get a manicure license. The course focuses on manicure and pedicure basic techniques, sterilization, sanitation, hand anatomy, ethics, salon management and state laws. Once the program is completed, students are eligible to sit for the state board exams.
