Nail Technology Programs in Massachusetts

To be eligible for a manicure license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a student must enroll in an accredited nail program that provides a minimum of 100 curriculum hours of coursework and training and pass state board examinations. There are several cosmetology schools that offers nail programs that provide students with the skills and the training required to pass the examinations and begin a career as a manicurist.

Students are also taught business skills required to open a practice or salon.

    • Mansfield Beauty Schools offers a 100-hour manicure program at its branches in Springfield and Quincy. The program meets state licensure criteria, and offers day and evening classes that start each month. Students learn basic procedures for manicures and pedicures, hygiene and safety, nail health, a variety of applications and nail art techniques. The school offers students a placement service upon certification.
