Quality Healthcare Options is just north of St Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The CNA training at QHO is offered as a 15-da daytime class or a 33-day evening class. Some of the concepts taught in the program include moving and transporting patients, bathing patients, hygiene, infection control and body systems. These concepts are taught in lecture and lab sessions in addition to a clinical internship. The college offers CNA certification testing on-campus two to three weeks after completion of the course. The college also offers a 40-hour CNA refresher course.

Milwaukee Area Technical College has four campus locations in the Milwaukee area. The closest location to St. Francis is the West Allis campus. The CNA program at MATC is a three-hour diploma program. Classes are taught in English and Spanish. The course teaches basic nursing skills and procedures needed to care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes and home health clients. Graduates will be prepared to take and pass CNA certification examination. To be admitted to the program, students must complete a health exam, a background test and take a college placement test.

The Community Health Care Training Center is in north Milwaukee, about a 20-minute drive from St. Francis. CHCTC offers a 120-hour CNA course that consists of 88 lecture and lab hours as well as 32 hours of clinical experience at a health care facility. Through lecture, role playing, videos and lab practices, concepts taught in the program include bathing, dressing, positioning and vital signs. Students can take the CNA certification exam upon completion of the course.
