Offering classes for high school students, Erie County Technical School teaches courses in welding, medical assistance, tourism, drafting, culinary arts and more. The school also works with post-secondary partners---students at ECTS can earn college credits for schools where they may continue the education they begin at ECTS. For example, students in the Art and Design program can earn college credits for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. This school also offers adult training courses through the Regional Career & Technical Center, many of which are available as night classes for working students.

Erie Business Center is the area's longest-standing institute for career training---it was founded in 1884.
It offers both day and night classes in a variety of programs. Academic studies at EBC trend toward administrative work, management and healthcare rather than physical trades like machine work; programs include paralegal, accounting, marketing, hotel management, medical transcription, nurse aide and more.
EBC's commitment to preparing its students for careers doesn't end in the classroom---the school also hosts a career services center that provides seminars in resume construction and job interviews, including mock interviews that help students practice for a career search. Class sizes average fewer than 15 students, ensuring that you receive as much personal attention as you want or need.
