Coral Springs, Florida is located near the east coast of the state, about 22 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale. The city had a population of about 130,000 in 2009.     • Eagle Resolutions & Resource International, Inc. is the only technical school in Coral Springs. Located in southwest Coral Springs near the Eagle Trace Golf Club, this school specializes in educating future private investigators, polygraph examiners and security professionals. The college trains students interested in working for the government or in the commercial or private sectors. Educators at this college are trained with methods used in the U.S. Army and other government agencies.

    Atlantic Technical School

    • The Atlantic Technical School is located in nearby Margate, about eight miles east of Coral Springs. The campus covers 30 acres and the school trains about 8,000 students every year. The college offers more than 30 Certificate and Applied Diploma programs, including ones in automotive and transportation technology, business management and administration, health sciences, hospitality and tourism and information technology. Classes are offered in the day, evening and on Saturday. This school also coordinates the largest apprenticeship program in Florida, ideal for students who want to study while they work.

    ATI Career Training Center

    • The ATI Career Training Center is located in nearby Fort Lauderdale, about 10 miles from Coral Springs. ATI offers programs in health care, personal fitness, business technology, information technology, automotive repair, air conditioning and refrigeration repair and welding. Although ATI works with students without a high school diploma or GED, students applying to standard programs must have this. Applicants must also interview for a place at ATI. ATI has a career services department that helps students find employment as they near graduation. They also offer part-time job placement while students are still in school.

    PC Professor Computer Training, Service and Support

    • PC Professor is a Microsoft-authorized computer school located in Boca Raton, about 13 miles from Coral Springs. Classes start weekly and are eight hours per day. Topics include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. Students can also enroll in a program to obtain a Microsoft Certified IT Professional Certificate. The school offers job placement assistance for students who have attended more than 100 hours of classes. The school does offer private lessons to individuals or groups of people from the same business. Private lessons can be modeled to fit the need of the individual or company.
