    • The Chapman School of Seamanship offers classes and certification in marine surveying, professional mariner training (PMT) and United States Coast Guard license training. The marine surveying classes teach students how to appraise vessels for insurance or sale, and how to assess damage to vessels. The Coast Guard training is for students with practical experience and time on the water, but not credentials.     Star Academy for Pet Stylists

    • The Star Academy for Pet Stylists is a private school that trains pet groomers. Basic pet grooming is a 150-hour class that teaches prospective groomers how to handle pets, how to prepare a pet for grooming and how trim nails and pads. The second-level class--intermediate pet grooming--is a 200-hour class that covers basic trimming techniques, the use of chemicals and dips, and first aid and CPR for pets. The final stage in the training program is a 250-hour program--professional all-breed grooming and management--that teaches advanced grooming techniques and prepares students for roles in managing a grooming shop.
