    • Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology is located near Naples Municipal Airport and the Royal Harbor area. It offers 13 trade certification programs that train people for several fields, including computer technology and information technology, aeronautics and airplane mechanics, business, dentistry, automotive service, cosmetology and medical technology. The school has an adjacent high school that offers a variety of technical and vocational classes that count towards a high school diploma.

    Edison State College

    • Edison State College campus in east Naples is one of several small Florida community colleges that offers two-year associate degrees and range of certification programs. Students can earn associate degrees in business and accounting services, medical technology, dental hygiene, occupational therapy, criminal justice, paralegal studies and computer/IT services. One-year certification programs are available in computer science, crime scene processing, accounting and training courses for careers in paramedics, firefighting and emergency medical services.

    Veterinary Technical Institute

    • The Veterinary Technical Institute trains people to work in veterinary offices and labs. The school offers two certification programs--one to become a small animal technician and the other to become a veterinary receptionist. The animal tech program covers several aspects of animal care, including animal dentistry, radiology, nutrition and surgery, and it can be completed in 20 weeks. The receptionist program can be completed in a month, and focuses on record management, account billing, veterinary computing and general animal care.
