Columbia College is a nationally accredited institution with affiliations with a number of professional organizations including those for massage therapy, health care and culinary arts. Certificate programs are offered for those interested in becoming nurse's aides, sushi chefs, dental lab techs or massage therapists. Columbia College also offers Associate's Degrees for students interested in cosmetology, business administration and computer science. The ITT Technical Institute has a campus in Springfield, VA that offers a number of programs for the technically inclined student. The Aviation Institute of Maintenance is a technical school for those with an interest in the science and technology of flight. The school has a campus in Northern Virginia where students can take a certificate program in aviation maintenance engineering, aviation maintenance and avionics.
