North Georgia Technical College is operated by the Technical College System of Georgia. The Clarksville and Curahee campus of North Georgia Tech is the only public technical college in Habersham County. The school also operates a satellite campus in nearby Union County. Tri-County Technical College is located in Oconee County, South Carolina, which borders Habersham County. Tri-County Tech offers education in the areas of healthcare, business, computers, technology, industry, public services, personal services, early childhood education, accounting and broadcasting. While attending this school means paying out-of-state tuition for Georgia students, it is closer to Habersham residents than most technical colleges in Georgia and offers a unique bridge program to Clemson University.
