North Metro Technical College is a part of the Chattahoochee Technical College network and is in Acworth, Georgia. Empire Beauty School-Kennesaw is a technical school five miles outside of Acworth. It is a part of the Empire Beauty School Affiliation. Empire Beauty Schools has been in existence for many decades and has 87 schools in 18 states and one affiliated school in Japan. Empire Beauty School-Kennesaw offers license training for cosmetology and hairstyling, nail technology and teacher of cosmetology courses. All programs also provide a foundation on salon management, communication skills, marketing and sales technique. There is also financial assistance for those who qualify and need it.

ITT Technical Institute is a technical college located throughout the country. ITT Technical Institute- Atlanta Kennesaw is one of these campuses and is five miles outside of Acworth. Some of the courses provided include computers and electronics engineering technology, construction management, information technology, electronics and communications engineering technology and criminal justice. ITT Technical Institute-Atlanta Kennesaw is flexible and provides classes in the morning, afternoon and evening. Students are able to attend part-time or full-time. There is also a benefits military program for members of the military.
