Tennessee State University

• Founded in 1912, the 500-acre campus situated in Nashville, Tennessee has accreditation to award the Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist in Education and Doctoral degrees. Doctoral degrees from Tennessee State University fall into the following categories—Doctor of Education offered in Administration and Supervision and Curriculum and Instruction; Doctor of Philosophy in the areas of Biological Sciences, Computer and Information Systems Engineering, Psychology and Public Administration; and the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree offered by the College of Health Sciences. University of Tennessee Knoxville

• The University of Tennessee Knoxville (UT) started as Blount College in 1794 and became the University of Tennessee in 1879. The campus sits on 550 acres with 220 buildings. U.S. News and World Report ranked UT Knoxville number 52 out of 262 American universities that award bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. The school’s supply chain and logistics program ranked ninth among all national universities. The Carnegie Commission classifies UT as a research university with very high activity. UT has a number of schools that award Doctoral degrees in various fields of study.
